To the west of the Nucla-Naturita area, in nearby Utah, lie the LaSalle Mountains. To the east, the San Juan Mountain range. Head north to the Uncompahgre Plateau and look south to Lone Cone Mountain. All of these magnificent destinations offer a range of outdoor experiences, including camping! You will find developed campsites as well as "pack it in & pack it out" camping opportunities. Notable sites include the Columbine Campground ~ elevation 9,000 ft. and Iron Springs Campground at 9,500 ft.
